URB Magazine writer practically rants

I was made aware of this via looseneck.com (Head there for their opinion on the article). URB published a article today which in my view was a silly rant from someone who seems to be a bit fed up with Cudi.

Now for my opinion…Based off one article that upset the writer he goes off about Cudi being a “Freshman” and needing to show respect to artists who have been around longer. The article continues to blast Cudi based off that one quote from Cudi. Cudi’s comments about not being on the cover of the XXL mag may be a bit inaccurate:

“It’s just politics; they didn’t put me on that cover because I didn’t have a major deal. That’s just what it was. That’s my opinion.”

That may not be true, but in the end he says he has nothing against XXL and as looseneck.com mentions, its not like he’s going and say “F**K XXL”. The article then continues to practically say that Cudi should enjoy it all while it lasts as he could go back to being a no body. In the end, this URB article is biased and uncalled for while written on very little fact. Kid Cudi does not go around bashing artists, magazines and others every chance he gets. He wanted to state his opinion, maybe it was inaccurate but that doesn’t mean he’s an ass.

Let me know what you all think in the comments.

This douchebag writer seems bitter, he totally ignores the first part of CuDi’s speech, where he says “It was an honor” [to be featured in XXL] and that he felt like “all ten of the artists should have been on the front page”

Also ignored by the URB writer is where Cudi says:
“I have a lot to say and for a reason. I’m passionate about my work, I’m passionate about my craft and where I can take it. Don’t get me wrong, I felt like everyone in that room deserved to be treated like number one. I’m not saying I’m better than anybody. We all deserved to be number one, we all deserved that shot to shine and be in that same position on that front cover. We were all recognized for the same reason. See I just don’t like the politics.”

Sorry, i dont see any sort of disrespect in that, it’s honest. This URB guy is just lookin to be a jerkoff.

Here is a link to the full interview with allhiphop.com that this douchebag writer dissected to suit his own miserable opinions. Selective journalism – smh.
