Kid Cudi Nominated for Best New Artist – BET Awards

Word is spreading that Kid Cudi has been nominated for Best New Artist for the BET Awards along with Keri Hilson, Ryan Leslie, Jazmine and M.I.A. XXL confirms the news by saying:

XXL Freshman Kid Cudi is up against Keri Hilson, M.I.A., Ryan Leslie, Jazmine Sullivan and Keri Hilson for best new artist

This is great news for Cudi so congrats to him!

    Congrats! While its always and honor to be recognized, I think Cudi’s at a disadvantage as he will be the only nominee without an album out. What are they judging exactly? The “A Kid named Cudi” mixtape? Well, whatever the case, good luck to Cudders!

    BET clearly doesnt deserve to be known as a music oriented television network, since they cant event realize that that her first album came out 3 years ago and the song that “made her famous”, paper planes, was on her second album that came out 2 years ago. This is stupid on their part.
