Kid Cudi Step’s off Lady Gaga Monster Ball Tour

Official statement from Kid Cudi:
Kid Cudi has decided to take an early leave of absence from Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball tour, in order to balance his schedule surrounding the recording of his next album and acting commitments.  Cudi does not want to disappoint his fans and will move forward with his individual show dates in December and throughout the month of January. –DREAM ON

    I waited the LONGEST to see Lupe and I finally did this summer. I just crept up on me didn’t expect it.

    I think the same will happen with Cudi.

    @DP- there are no words that can express my thoughts!!! Is this really happening you have to be kidding me. Should I be mad at Cudi? Who? The only reason I bought the damn tickets in the first place was to see Kid Cudi. Being I’m a die hard Cudi fan I have to say this is the first time he has disappointed me! I went to his blog no explanation, I work hard for my money, so yea Cudi this concerns me and it’s my business unlike you deleting ur twitter account, the type of jeans u wear, or women you date!     A whole lotta signals seem to point to Cudi havin a bigger ego nowadays.

    Between that punch incident, the leave of absence, the Nardwuar interview where he steps out like he was running from a freak stalker.

    I just want the Cudi that stays close to the fans, feet to the ground, yellin ” i got the DOPEST FANS” on stage!

    I think it kinda sucks that success brings out that kind of behavior (thinkin about that punch now) in anyone.

    But hey, at the end of the day, just like with Kanye, i dont give a ish about an artist’s personality, its about the music.

    As long as an artist does good music, or should i say, financially profitable music, the media will talk more about that than his hubris.

    I can’t tell you how disappointed my family is right now. We are driving from Phoenix to San Diego tomorrow to go to the concert on Saturday to see Kid Cudi. We were going to celebrate my sons 17th birthday. He is a huge fan of Kid Cudi and we surprised him with the tickets for his upcoming birthday on Tuesday. We invited two of my kids friends, rented a car, purchased six concert tickets, paid for a hotel and it was all primarily to see Kid Cudi. So unbelievably disappointed. We will still take the kids and try to make it fun but I have four very let down teenagers on my hands. Thanks Cudi. :o (
