Pursuit of Happiness (Alternate Music Video)
Many of you may have seen this already but here’s the alternate music video for Pursuit of Happiness that was filmed back in Ocotober of 09. Previously unreleased, the video was directed by Megaforce and produced by El Nino (Day ‘n’ Nite, Good Life). The video takes an entire different retrospective on the song giving you visuals that I think better suit it (no shots at the original). i liked this video more than the other one..i guess when i heard the song, i imagined it to be more like this one.. the other one is not bad either .
This music video is beyond genius. When it looks like he’s hanging on the edge of his window and you find out hes sitting on a chair with a projector behind him. Unbelievable.
So glad this got released because the original left me kind of disappointed. I liked it but Drake lip-synching the chorus? No.
Are you all serious! This kills the whole story line of the song. This video makes no connection.

WOAH.. this is so trippy. Exacly how one of cudders videos should’ve been done, but i agree with “(@) zaystrong”. I didn’t really find a tie into the video with the song. At the same time i do think the first video for Pursuit of Happiness was better fitting though. Just should’ve been trippier or in the grind, since he’s in the “pursuit”.. Also i just wish Scotty and his directors would’ve done this with Mr.SoloDolo allready.
This video is so much better than the first. This one is just trippy and its more original too 5 stars for this one.
this one matches what the song means to me way more than then the original. the idea of him being stuck and trying to pursue his way out if what i toke from the song and thats what this video shows. Love them both thou

It goes with the theme of the song because when he tries to get up, he falls back down on the couch. When he tries to escape out of the window, he ends up back on the couch.
It’s like he’s trying to get there, but the “couch” is holding him back. Then he goes inside the couch and finds himself where “happiness” is supposed to be (i.e a party) but then he’s like “I don’t get it.” because it’s not what he expected it to be. That’s just how I saw it.. lol.
