Project X Soundtrack Featuring Kid Cudi’s Pursuit of Happiness

I assume a ton of people will be heading to the movies this weekend to catch the new movie “Project X” like I did last night (it was hilarious). Featuring a fantastic selection for its soundtrack, it includes songs from fellow G.O.O.D. Music artists Pusha T and Kanye West along with one of my favorite Kid Cudi remixes to date.

Many of you know of this song already but for the new Cudi fans who are looking around the web trying to figure out what Cudi song was used, this post is for you.

Steve Aoki originally remixed Kid Cudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness” in 2009 and in a turn of events I won’t fully understand, the song was never officially released in the US – well until now.

With the song heavily featured in the Project X promo materials along with being used in the film, it is now available on iTunes as part of the official Project X soundtrack but not as a single download. Stupid? Yes, but what can we do at this point.

You can purchase the full 13 song soundtrack for Project X on iTunes for $9.99.

As Kid Cudi fans, we should do our job and let Cudi know that WZRD is a terrible album. This CD sounds like my little brother’s garage band. We need to get Cudi to go back to rapping, what he does best. I admire Cudi’s originality, but he needs to go back to being an original rap artist, not a wannabe rocker. Come on, Man!
