Kid Cudi Says “People Will Hear
Me Rap” This Year

If theres one ongoing trend I’ve seen in the comments it’s definitely been “I want to hear Kid Cudi rap”. Speaking with Rikki M of Big Boy’s Neighborhood at the Project X premiere in March, Cudi explains why he has delayed doing another Man on the Moon album and that his decision to do so was not because of his “rant” on twitter.

“I was already decided about doing another WZRD album, If I did Man on the Moon 3 right now, it wouldn’t be right. The passion to rap is not there right now.”

Cudi continued by saying “I know I’m going to get back to rapping. I’m going to do some features this year, people will hear me rap. I got some living to do, all my Man on the Moon albums are auto-biographical.”

With the G.O.O.D. Music album coming this Summer, can we expect some “Christian Dior Denim Flow” type features on the album from Cudi? Listen to the full audio clip below to hear what Cudi had to say.

I got some livin 2do as well*

  • Jimmygent32

People need to stop telling him what to do. Anything Cudi comes out with is always different and better, while everyone trys tells him what to do. He knows what we WANT, but he gives us what we NEED. That is what seperates him from other artists. He truley cares about us(the fans).

  • Devon

Yeah Cudi. Just do what you do and what you think is right. You got this shit.

  • cudi4life

christian dior denim flow is a fuckin classic #beautiful

  • KaptainAnKZ

If it’s Cudder i’m down period. No matter what the hell genre it is. He murders fucking everything. I dont care I’ll wait another year. That just means more WZRD!

  • Aduffy1266

no man on the moon till 2014 well I’m committing suicide

  • Aduffy1266

my brother i feel you you gots taste bro idk what happened but like i heard that man on the moon and thats all i can listen to cudi for life

  • Manningtanjiro

Okay I’ve tried really hard to support Cudi’s wzrd album even though I didn’t completely agree with the idea. But to push aside MOTM 3 for a second album is ridiculous. I love Cudi but the first wzrd album was mediocre at best. It hurts to admit that too. It can’t even compare to his first two albums. Cudi I’m so disappointed.

real truth dude amd cudi is the only music i really listen to

  • RealCudderFan

Cudi, just do what you love. And don’t let anyone make you think differently.

  • Wzrdcud09

Whatever Cudi gonna do, it’s gonna be epic. All the things cudi do, its epic. He can do everything

  • SippinAndChillin

At least he shows hope that he will still rap and hes not done for good. If not, then I will kill everybody and then shoot myself. I respect wzrd because I love Cudi but hes asking an awful lot for his fans to accept. We want to hear tracks like man on the moon, dat new new…real cudder. Long live classic cudi

  • Jm1

Ok lets face it wzrd wasnt all that great a real cudi fan can say that. Now i am a cudi
Fan because of the prayer then i got motm 1 and loved it . I think he should go back
    Making music like that.

  • RealShit

    MOTM2 is his greatest album

  • Anonymous

All his albums are his greatest album

  • the dopest.

    Word.

  • the dopest.

You might need to roll one and calm down.

  • BigRed

I’m not a huge fan of WZRD. But MOTM1 was only as good as it was because cudi was feelin it. So if he’s not feeling MOTM3 right now then mine as well wait than disappoint. Cudi is gonna do what he’s does and if that’s another WZRD album then we just gotta let him do it and wait for the epicness of MOTM3

  • MorrowME

WZRD was GREAT.. Seriously how can a REAL cudi fan say it wasn’t.. His songs were so deep on that album and I felt like I met the real Scott. Light one up and listen 2 Efflictim or Upper Room and u can see his Vision. He just wants to save people who need to be saved. Cud life

  • Cudlife

I dont know why people dont like/love WZRD, I think its great, the only downfall is that there are only 11 tracks, 1 being Arrival which isn’t something you really want to listen to regularly and by the time the album came out i had already listened to Break and Teleport 2 Me loads of times, so the album is like having only 8 new tracks.

yo i went through alot and motm 1 and 2 braced me perfectly, like its unexplainable, so its kinda arrogant of him to break the promise of motm 3 coming out this year, what makes it worse is his broke other promises which kinda gets annoying to true cudder fans.

  • TerminateTheHate

I’m still waiting for “A Man Named Scott”. The original Cudi mixtape he had promised us to drop in the fall of 2011.

  • gaws-___-

That man is the definition of an artist, respect to cud for doing his thing

  • Paulsouthard69

He canceled that for WZRD awhile ago…

  • Newrain72

    Yesssssss

  • yesssirrrr

I just felt the need to keep it going….. Respect for the CUDDER!!!!!!!!

  • Easternskydude

Honestly I love you Cudi. Ill support you regardless. But please think about focusing on another Man on the Moon album. I listen to # 1 and 2 everywhere I go for like the last 6 months, everytime I smoke or trip and even when I work out. Its so peacefull. So please, think about it.

  • Rlitner17

    no

  • CudderNation

MOTM or WZRD as long as i’m hearing music from my favorite artist it doesn’t matter. I’ll support Cudi Regardless.

  • Leslee_G_Dawgg

i love kid cudi! but there is just going to be tooo many cudi hop-ons! and just do man on the moon 3!

  • Zachary

I so agree I hate that I couldn’t get into wzrd it sucks. But motm3 will be epic though if we call our selves true kid cudi fans we can stick by him and hope he makes the right choices

  • Cuddilicious

Doesn’t matter what kind of music Cudi decides to make, i will not stop listening to all of hi songs! so amazing!

  • http://twitter.com/bjj50 Brian Johnson ✈

Autobiographical. YES. He has to have Man on the Moon 3 play out in his real life. He stopped smoking weed- TBD if he’s back on it or not. Things like that. He needs inspiration from his real life. Cause he’s the REALEST artist out there. Not rapping about cars and hoes-just cause. (or the “Boots with the fur”) He needs to see where he can draw the conclusion of Man on the Moon from. It really is a story. This dude has such talent and one day when he’s gone, people will use him as an example of writing truth on paper and playing it for crowds.

  • white african

the man will always do what hes been doing. you think he got this good by taking advice from randoms? as long as he keeps smoking weed he’ll be fine

  • LynnBaby

i cant wait till kid cudi is in miami i pray he comes in march around my birthday I LOVE CUDI AGGHHHHHHH!!!!!! (BECKY SCREAM) LOL
