Now we finally know what film Kid Cudi was working on earlier this summer. After various photos surfaced of Kid Cudi on set with actor Mark Webber and later Adrian Grenier, not much information was available outside of the fact they we working on what we thought was two separate films.
It turns out Webber, Grenier and Cudi we’re involved in the same indie comedy film titled “Goodbye World”, with filming wrapping up yesterday according to reports form Variety. The film is an apocalyptic comedy about a group of old college friends who get reunited in a remote Northern California town as civilization is crumbling around them.
The film stars Adrian Grenier, Kerry Bishe, Ben McKenzie, Caroline Dhavernas, Gaby Hoffman, Mark Webber and Scott Mescudi and is being produced by Gather Films, in association with Picturesque Films. Photos of each actor are above in the gallery.
Grenier and Bishe star as a couple whose off-the-grid home becomes the gathering place for the group, including two estranged friends (McKenzie, Dhavernas), a disgraced yet idealistic Washington, D.C., insider (Hoffman), a formerly imprisoned radical activist (Webber) and an eccentric computer hacker played by Scott Mescudi.
Cudi was recently also cast as Yanni in the upcoming thriller film “Tacoma” which begins filming in September and is slated for a 2013 release.
