The Top 5 Kid Cudi Songs of 2012 According To The Fans

everyCUDIsong2012

We started the week off by letting you listen and download every single Kid Cudi song released in 2012. That ended up leading to a handful of discussions in the comments and on twitter about what was the best song overall. We let you vote on it and we’re ready to crown the best Kid Cudi song of the year.

Hit the gallery above to countdown the top 5 Kid Cudi songs of 2012 according to you, the fans.

5. Creepers

Kicking off the Top 5 is a track that was originally meant for Kid Cudi’s second album Man on the Moon II. Produced by Dan Black, Cudi held on to “Creepers” for almost 2 years until it finally found its place on this years G.O.O.D. Music album “Cruel Summer”. Just missing the top 5 is Dennis Hook Me Up With Some More of This Whiskey!

4. Dose of Dopeness (Produced by Dot Da Genius)

One fan deemed Dose of Dopeness “the holy grail of Kid Cudi songs” when the song dropped this in January after waiting 3 years for it’s release. Dot Da Genius originally recorded this back in 2008 with Kid Cudi at the same time they created their classic hit “Day ‘n’ Nite”.

3. King Wizard

I personally would have ranked Dose of Dopeness here but you guys thought differently as the anticipation of INDCUD is clearly at a fever pitch. With King Wizard set to be released next week on iTunes, along with the music video, things will definitely pick up even more as 2013 is coming around the corner and INDICUD nears.

2. Teleport 2 Me

Easily the best track on WZRD, Teleport 2 Me comes in at #2 on this list beating a handful of tracks that followed it as the year went on. The closest any song from WZRD got to this top 5 list was “Upper Room” at #7 (and we’re big fans of it). What comes in at number one? I’m sure you know….

1. Just What I Am Feat. King Chip

Suprised? We figured you weren’t. After Complex named this one of the 50 best songs of 2012 it’s no shock this is the best (deservingly so) Kid Cudi song of the year as “Just What I Am” officially showed us that INDICUD was the real deal in August. In the words of Cudi, “Vibe out and have some fun”.
