If you haven’t seen these bottles in stores yet (or you’re still under age) here’s a hands on and detailed look at Kid Cudi’s contribution to the Beck’s Artist Series.
Cudi was approached by the German beer company to join five other artists in creating labels. The design appeared on over 13 million bottles that were distributed this summer.
“I was like, ‘Wow, that’d be kind of dope. I haven’t really done any design work outside of my albums, so I took this opportunity to kind of tap into my creative side and do something cool, you know, that was another expression of me. It’s especially engaging when art is unexpected – when it finds you when you’re not looking for it. I want beer drinkers to pick up my bottle of Beck’s and be surprised. I want them to think, explore and express themselves with their own art.”
