Kid Cudi Considers Fans To Be His ‘New Friends’
MTV continues their Extended Play interview with Cudi as this time Cudi discusses his fans and explains why he really does love them.
“Most artists be like, ‘I love my fans,’ but it’s like, ‘No, I really love my fans,’ because when I’m down and I’m struggling … it’d be times where I might have a lot going on and I’m overloaded, and then as soon as I walk onstage, I see the [fans cheering], it’s a wrap,”
Kanye Says Kid Cudi Is His Favorite Artist (Again)

A few weeks ago Kanye West said Kid Cudi was his favorite artist but he didn’t go into to much detail. This time around, in an interview with 97.7 The Box Kanye explained why Cudi is his favorite:
Kid Cudi is my personal favorite artist in the world right now. His music, whenever you see his performances, just his whole take on the whole game. It’s just proper, unfiltered, uncensored artistry. And thats something me and Jay all look up to. Even once we get the commercial success, you’d like to take everything down to an unfiltered space. That’s what he’s delivering, his album comes out next week; everybody has to go and listen to that. If you want to hear raw, uncut, un-apologetic, ill ass melodies, everything, thats what Kid Cudi’s thing is.
Just a few days ago Kanye also tweeted “Please go pre order Kid Cudi’s album. He is my favorite living artist and not just cause he’s on my label”. We’ll you heard the guy, go pre-order the album.
VMAN: International Players’ Anthem – Kid Cudi

VMAN Magazine caught up with Cudi for their “International Players’ Anthem” as they took a look at what makes Cudi’s style.
“I’m trying to think about how I can make the most beautiful sounding song ever created,” he tells us, his voice lifting a bit at the prospect. “Each time, I just want somebody to feel something in their heart.”

Complex: Dot Da Genius Talks Wizard Rock Band

You’re all familiar with Dot Da Genius at this point, from fan favorites Dat New New and Cleveland is The Reason to the hit song Day ‘n’ Nite Dot’s been around from the begining with Cudi. With Cudi’s sophomore album Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager due out in 7 days you’ll hear even more work from the two as Dot produced two songs on the album “Marijuana” and “Trapped in My Mind” along with the iTunes bonus “Maybe”. Looking to the future Complex’ Joe La Puma talked with Dot about his and Cudi’s rock group “Wizard”.
Complex: How did the rock album come about?
Dot Da Genius: It was pretty much the same time that we built a studio in Cudi’s crib. We did “Trapped In My Mind” and we were dwelling on it like, “This is crazy, we need to put some guitar riffs on this.” So I had my homie Brent, come through Cudi’s crib with his guitar, and Cudi did the guitar riff with his mouth cause Cudi couldn’t play the guitar. So Brent replayed it. Then Cudi picked up [Brent's] guitar and started fiddling around with it, and I swear to you within like five minutes, he had a legitimate guitar riff. He never played a guitar a day in his life, but had a ill riff that we could make a song with.
