
In this months issue of Inked Magazine Cudi is featured in a fashion feature called “Kid’s Clothes”. The article takes a look at Cudi’s vintage style as they head to various shops in NYC looking for the right items to add to his collection. They also dive a bit into Cudi’s music as he explains how MOTM2 pulls elements from Horror Movies.
The new twist, the new chapter in the album, is that I added elements from horror movies. I put in all those fun things that people look for in a good cinematic horror movie—fun, excitement, unexpected shit—that’s in this album. Horror is something I’ve always been drawn to. I like being scared.
Well there’s a handful of information to take in from tonights performance at the University of Buffalo. To start Cudi says that the album’s been delayed until Nov. 9 and explains the delay (originally Oct. 26) He also says he’s working on releasing a joint album with Dot Da Genius around the same time Man on the Moon 2 releases to make sure the fans have a ton of music to listen to. Finally, If your long time Cudi fan who remembers Dose of Dopeness from early live performances (2008) Cudi announced he’ll be finishing that song as well.

The official “Erase Me Video Contest” is under way and the grand prize winner will receive $1,000. Entering the contest is simple, all you have to do is create your own 90 second version of a video for Erase Me and submit it. The person with the most Facebook likes will be crowned the winner. The deadline to submit your video is Sept. 20 so get out there and start shooting.

The first single from Cudi’s upcoming album is here. Just over a year since hes debut LP, Cudi is preparing to release his 2nd album “Man on the Moon 2: The Legend of Mr. Rager” on Oct. 26. Erase Me is the first single for the album and it features Kanye West with production by Jim Jonsin. It just went live on iTunes so make sure to support Cudi and grab a copy of the single! Chip fans, some good news for you if your in the NYC area. Chip Tha Ripper’s performing a show this Friday at Santos Party House (18+) along with a special DJ set from Dot Da Genius and more. Tickets are $12 ($15 at the door) and you can grab yours online here.

This has been out for a few months now but I originally missed it when it was posted. Cudi’s previously talked about flying to Hawaii to record with Kanye for Blueprint 3 but this time around he discusses it with more detail. He talks about working at BAPE, touring in Australia and how all the good things that have happened in his life were because of taking chances.

Activation just released the artist listing for the upcoming sequel DJ Hero 2 which is set to release this October. Kid Cudi and over 100 other artist will be featured in the game including Kanye West, B.o.B, Eminem and Drake. For the full list of artist check out the DJ Hero website.
In the first DJ Hero, Day ‘n’ Nite was mixed with the Black Eyed Peas’ Boom Boom Pow. They’ve yet to announce which songs will included but if I had to guess I would expect Memories or Pursuit of Happiness in this years game. Read the rest of this entry »
