Nintendo released the new wii 2 today, s'pose to be mostly a hardcore console.
The controller looks innovative but a bit kiddy, but i like the fact u dont need a tv
Wii U supports 1080p (previous models could only reach 480i resolution)  -_- your thoughts?

They did not release anything yet. And it is not called Wii 2 but Wii U. The screen on the controller is not HD, if you want to play it in HD you have to get a HD television. But it is correct that you can play your games on the controller - as long as the console is running. Next time you want to make a new thread please do your research before you post.

I don't like Wii that much. It was kind of cool, but when I want to play video games I don't want to move. The Wii U is interesting, I wonder how well it works.

Yeah i didnt like Wii that much either, it is only fun if you play with a couple of children, but Wii U is definitely interesting.

Nintendo does not try to beat Playstation and Xbox in graphics. They are the alternative company which is innovative and focuses on new and different ways to play games. And thats what makes them succesful - not high specs only hardcore gamers care about.

woah. I just spent 4 whole hours looking up the wii u o_O, in a short summary...
It'll be considerably cheap considering its a new console id say 300 USD, it need to outdo ps3 and 360
The new remote is a portal so so much creativity, it could be a rear mirror for racing games, inventory box, extra info, goggles e.g see in night vision, all the ones in the preview of wii u and much more.
The graphics should be id say 10% better than ps3, but just a guess, and look at the zelda hd project the background and link is so detailed!The games demo'd in e3 were pretty interesting i liked the mii chase game or whatever it is, the person holding the tab has a map and tries to run away from people trying to chase the user, the tab can also does conversations thru the camera, it could possibly have a few apps (uWare) that could work anywhere and 3G so u can do stuff on the go
 Its a make or break for ninty, but im 1st in line, just 400 days to go -_-
Only 2 flaws i notice, only 1 wiipad, tab, wiitab or whatever u want to call it per wii u and no comfy remote like the ps3, but its apparently very light, a short summary

Just a note on the price
the estimate price which is pretty accurate is 600$ AUD so sould be about 450 - 550$ for US
the est. is by EBGames and they've got most preorders, consoles and ltd. ed games spot on like the 3DS

Wii lacked games IMO. Not enough great Nintendo releases, they had Galaxy, Twilight Princess, Smash Bros, Animal Crossing, and thats about it.
